Cranky Coquí LLC | crankycoqui.com
Last updated October 28, 2026
Cranky Coquí LLC ("Cranky Coquí," "we," "us," or "our") operates crankycoqui.com. This policy explains how we handle personal information connected with our website, merchandise store, restaurant inquiries and bookings, and online job applications. It also explains how to contact us about your information. It does not replace separate notices that may apply to employment records or another company’s services.
1 Information you provide.
Contact and service information: Your name, email address, telephone number, messages, and information you provide when asking about our restaurant, catering, events, or an order.
Purchase information: Billing and delivery details, items and options ordered, order numbers, payment status, and records of support requests, returns, replacements, and refunds. Payment providers process payment credentials through their checkout systems. Please use those systems rather than sending card details to us by email or through a general website form.
Reservation information: Your name, contact details, party size, reservation date and time, and special requests you choose to provide. Please share only the information needed for your request and avoid entering unnecessary medical information or identifying details about children.
Application information: Contact details, address, résumé, work history, qualifications, and other information you submit through our Employment page or during recruiting. Do not include Social Security numbers, identity documents, or bank details in the website application.
Preferences: Marketing subscriptions and communication preferences you provide. If an account feature is available and you use it, we also receive the profile and account information needed to support it.
2 Information collected automatically or from providers.
Our website platform and integrated services may collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, cookie identifiers, pages visited, referral sources, approximate location derived from IP address, and the time of a visit. The information collected depends on the features used and applicable privacy choices. See the cookies section below.
Providers involved in a transaction may send us information needed to serve you, such as reservation details, food-order information, payment status, delivery tracking, or a fulfillment update. We also receive information you choose to share when contacting us through social-media services.
3 How we use information.
We use relevant information to process orders and payments; arrange production, shipping, and refunds; manage reservations and event inquiries; answer questions; evaluate job applications; maintain business records; prevent fraud; secure and improve our website; and meet legal obligations. We use subscription information to send requested marketing and manage your choices.
Where consent is legally required, including for certain sensitive information or tracking, we obtain it before the relevant processing. A visit, purchase, or acceptance of website terms does not by itself provide every consent required by privacy law.
4 When we disclose information.
Wix and website service providers: Our site is hosted on Wix. Wix and providers supporting the website, forms, store, communications, and security process relevant contact, transaction, and technical information to provide those services.
Printful and shipping providers: To fulfill merchandise orders, we disclose information such as recipient name, delivery address, necessary contact details, ordered products, and order references to Printful and the providers involved in production and delivery. We may also provide order details and supporting photographs to resolve a reported problem. Printful processes customer order information on our behalf for fulfillment.
Payment, reservation, ordering, and delivery providers: When you use the relevant service, necessary transaction and contact information may be handled by payment providers, OpenTable, SkyTab/Shift4, Uber Eats, DoorDash, or the gift-card provider identified at checkout. These providers may also collect information directly under their own policies.
Other necessary disclosures: We may disclose relevant information to advisers and service providers for accounting, legal support, or business administration; to comply with legal obligations; to investigate fraud or protect rights and safety; or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable protections. We may also disclose information when you specifically direct or authorize us to do so.
5 Cookies and advertising choices.
Cookies and similar technologies help operate the site, keep it secure, and remember preferences. Optional analytics or advertising tools can collect additional browsing information. Embedded social-media content may also allow the provider to receive technical information when the content loads or you interact with it. You can also control cookies through your browser, although blocking essential cookies may affect checkout or other features. Browser settings alone may not stop all data disclosures. Contact info@crankycoqui.com for assistance with a privacy choice.
6 Marketing communications.
You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using their unsubscribe link or by contacting us. We may still send service messages needed for an order, reservation, refund, or support request. Providing a phone number for a transaction or reservation does not by itself enroll you in a marketing-text program. Any marketing-text program requires its own applicable disclosures and consent process.
7 Artificial intelligence and model training.
[CONFIRM BEFORE PUBLICATION: State whether Cranky Coquí collects, uses, or sells personal information to train large language models. Confirm both your own use of customer information and relevant provider settings. If accurate, use: “We do not collect, use, or sell personal information for the purpose of training large language models.”]
8 Retention security and processing locations.
We retain information for the time reasonably needed for the purposes described here, considering order and support needs, recruiting, tax and accounting requirements, security, and legal claims. Retention varies by record type. We may retain a limited record of a marketing opt-out so we can continue honoring it. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it as appropriate.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect personal information. Access is limited to people and providers with an appropriate business need. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy laws may differ between countries. Transfers are subject to safeguards required by applicable law.
9 Privacy requests and legal rights.
Depending on where you live and whether the relevant law applies to our processing, you may have rights to confirm and access personal information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, or opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain significant automated decisions. Where applicable, rights also include information about certain third-party sales and review or explanation of qualifying automated decisions.
Email info@crankycoqui.com with the subject “Privacy Request,” or call 203-269-6350. Explain your request and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records. We may verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority using proportionate measures. Do not send sensitive identity documents unless we arrange a suitable method.
We respond within the time required by applicable law. For requests covered by the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, this is generally 45 days, with an additional 45 days when legally permitted and explained to you. If we deny a covered request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing us with the subject “Privacy Appeal.” We respond to Connecticut appeals within 60 days. If an appeal is denied, we explain how to contact the Connecticut Attorney General. We do not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
Deletion and access requests can be subject to lawful exceptions, such as required record retention or protection of another person’s information. If another provider independently controls the information, its own request process may also apply.
10 Children and younger users.
Our website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the website. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so we can investigate and address it. Adults should handle purchases and reservations for children. We apply any additional protections required by law for younger users; eligibility for a job is governed separately by applicable employment law.
11 Policy updates and contact
We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. We will change the date above and provide additional notice or request consent when required. Changes do not authorize uses of previously collected information that require separate consent.
